Change Those Filters!
Your home's HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning) system can make or break the bank when the power bill comes. Each system's efficiency is going to be effected by the age, and type of the system. An inexpensive practice is to change the filters regularly.
- Determine the model of the system and check manufacturer's guidelines for maintenance requirements
- Get the right filter for your system
- Install the filters according to the manufacturer's guidelines; make sure the filter is positioned so the air flow is going the right way!
Generally, HVAC filters should be changed monthly. Always be sure to contact a qualified professional with questions, and follow manufacturer's guidelines.
